About Catholic Tabor Hill
Catholic Tabor Hill is a Pastoral Centre under the Catholic Diocese of Nyahururu. For over 30 years, this spirituality center has served as a place of prayer, retreats, and religious education, offering a peaceful environment for spiritual growth.
The vision for Tabor Hill was conceived in the late 1980s, and by 1991, construction began while Nyandarua was still under the larger Archdiocese of Nyeri. The foundation stone was laid in January 1991, and by 1994, the first phase of the centre opened its doors.
Our Mission & Purpose
Catholic Tabor Hill was established with three primary intentions:

Facilities & Accommodation
Tabor Hill Pastoral Centre provides:
78 single rooms and up to 185 beds in double and multiple occupancy rooms.
4 medium-sized halls and 1 large hall accommodating up to 130 people.
2 chapels for liturgical celebrations.
A spacious dining area and beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces with well-manicured lawns, flowers, and trees—ideal for prayer, reflection, and relaxation.

Catholic Tabor Hill is located near the Agricultural Training Institute, close to the Equator along the Gilgil-Nyahururu road—just 8 kilometers from Nyahururu town and 3 kilometers from the airfield.
