About the Centre

A Ministry of Love and Service by the Dimesse Sisters

The St. Anne and Joachim Hope Centre for the Aged is a compassionate initiative established by the Dimesse Sisters (Daughters of Mary Immaculate), a congregation founded by Venerable Father Anthony Pagani in Vicenza, Italy. True to their charism of serving the people of God, the Dimesse Sisters dedicate their lives to empowering the marginalized, uplifting communities, and providing holistic care to the vulnerable.

Recognizing the growing challenges faced by senior citizens in Kenya, the Dimesse Sisters envisioned the Hope Centre as a sanctuary for individuals aged 65 and above who lack appropriate care and support. This initiative aligns with the congregation's mission to be humble apostles of truth and love, particularly to the sick, elderly, and destitute.

Construction and Community Involvement

The project is being developed in phases:

  • The first phase was successfully completed, laying a strong foundation for the centre’s operations.
  • On May 6, 2024, the Dimesse Sisters opened their convent on the grounds, ensuring effective facilitation of ongoing construction and preparing for the eventual admission of beneficiaries.

This milestone was celebrated with overwhelming support from the local community, whose participation reinforced the sisters’ vision of a collaborative and impactful mission. The turnout for the grand opening symbolized unity and hope, providing encouragement for the continued growth of the project.

Call for Partnership

The St. Anne and Joachim Hope Centre relies on the generosity of well-wishers and the dedication of the community. Contributions of time, resources, and expertise are vital in bringing this vision to life. The sisters extend heartfelt gratitude to all supporters and invite others to join this noble cause to give senior citizens a dignified and loving end to their life journey.

Blessing and Gratitude

The Dimesse Sisters are deeply grateful for the blessings and support received so far. They pray for all benefactors and partners, trusting in God’s provision to realize the dream of a vibrant, fully operational care facility for the aged.
