Unlike traditional cloistered communities, this new family, known as the “Company of the Dimesse” or “Company of the Glorious Virgin Mother of God,” adopted a “secular” model. Members lived a consecrated life without taking public vows, which allowed them to serve freely outside of an enclosed setting.
